There are several credit cards on the market with no annual fee. However, not all products are created equal so you want to explore what's out there before submitting an application to the first offer that comes your way.

10 Annual Fee-Free Credit Card Options

Always check current terms and conditions before signing up for a new credit card. The following credit cards are good options to consider.

1. Chase Freedom Unlimited

Chase Freedom Unlimited offers 1.5 percent cash back on all purchases. Cardholders can also earn up to $175 if they spend at least $500 and add an authorized user in the first quarter. The purchase APR is 14.24, 19.24 or 23.24 percent, based on creditworthiness, but cardholders can make interest free purchases for the first 15 months.

Although the sign-up bonus and introductory APR are valuable, a foreign transaction fee of 3 percent applies and there are no bonus categories to earn additional rewards, notes NerdWallet.

To apply for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card, complete the online application.

2. Capital One VentureOne Rewards

Capital One VentureOne Rewards is a travel card that awards 1.25 miles per dollar on all purchases. You can also earn 20,000 bonus miles if you spend $1,000 or more in the first quarter, and there is no APR on purchases for 12 months.

MoneyUnder30 highlights this card because of its generous earning potential. However, the interest costs could easily outweigh the benefits if your balance is not paid in full each month, the article adds.
