Unfortunately this is becoming more common with several credit card companies, not just those affiliated with Walmart. This is a byproduct of the economic issues that make lenders apprehensive about having too much available credit among borrowers.

Do NOT get a Wal-mart card. I have a Wal-mart Discover card with a $2000.00 credit limit. I have used is everywhere - not just at Wal-mart. I received a letter today stating that my limit has been DECREASED to $1000.00....get this...for no reason other than they just wanted to. I have not ever missed a payment, been late, or gone over the limit. Nor do I have any other account on my credit report that has had any negative account history. It is not because of inactivity either. I just read a web page that had at least 20 people complaining about the exact same thing happening to them. I was about to purchase a riding lawnmower from their website, but they can forget about it now.

walmart credit card system is the biggest mistake ive ever done. they dont send a bill but it is the credit card holders fault that it is late and the phone call from a sarcastic ... name with held about how ive been late and then they say they want to lower the credit limit several months in a row after a payment.. it is this easy the entire walmart family can lick the ... out of my ass. i work my self silly to make a living and provide safty for north carolina but have to deal with snobs that think they are better than the average person and when you call to try to reach customer service you get a automated answering service that sends the person everywhere but customer service. the economy is at its worse since 1930's and all people can think or do is ... the poor person. well i say ... the rich that think they must get richer at the benifet of the middle class and lower class or should i say at the benifet of the two better classes because the upper class are made of dick heads

You can apply for a WalMart credit card online or by completing an application at any WalMart store.

To check the balance on your credit card you need to call the customer service 800# on the back of the card. You can also receive the 800# by asking at the customer service staff at any WalMart store.

Everyone is eligible for a Wal-Mart credit card as long as they meet the credit requirements. Pick up an application in-store during your break or you could always apply online.

You should call Wal-Mart credit card immediately to limit your liability against any fraudulent charges and to get your card reissued. The phone number is on your credit card statement.

Various payment addresses are used by the Walmart credit card issuers. You don't want your payment delayed, so you want to make sure that your payment goes to the correct address. Call the 800# on the back of your credit card and request the specific payment address for your card.
