This is a warning to anyone considering this card. They will take your money, not activate the card and there is NO way to reach them except through a web page. Of course the web site tells you to contact customer service, but there is no e-mail address or phone number anywhere. Good luck getting your money back.

Be sure you use a real credit card to buy a gift card from them so you can issue a charge back against them.

Unfortunately once the card has expired you usually cannot have it reissued. I suggest that you contact Simon Guest Services and see if they will reissue your card.

I have a never used expired Simon giftcard, expired 02/06. Can i pay $15.00 to have it reissued? I saw the policy on the internet. [Personal Information Deleted]

I actually work for Simon and want to clarify -- the Simon Visa Giftcard is only $2 when purchased at the mall (not $5.95). They are a great value considering most Visa Giftcards are $4+.

Dear Smith Family,

It is always a good idea to use your gift cards right away if they have a monthly fee. If you don't, you run the risk of the monthly fee eating up your card's available balance.

My 11 year old daughter tried to use her $25 birthday 'gift' card prior to it's expiration, and we found out the ridiculous $2.50 monthly fee completely consumed the balance. This is an outrageous rip off, and I smell a class action law suit on this one. In CA gift certificates cannot expire, but as an earlier comment says, this is a tricky method to cir...vent this law!

The limitations and features of the Simon Gift Card may not make it the best gift card for your purposes. The card is specially-designed for individuals who enjoy shopping at the Simon malls.

Cards are not worth it and anyone giving it as a gift should be embarrassed. In Massachusetts, it is illegal for gift certificates to expire. Apparently, Simon got around this by putting a Visa logo on it and now it is bound by Federal Law that allows such outrageous policies as a monthly maintenance fee and an expiration date. NEVER shop in a Simon Mall again! What a rip off

If your replacement card has not arrived after five weeks, it may have been stolen in the mail. You need to contact Simon and report the card as stolen. The phone number is available online at the Simon website. Just enter your card number or click the button that correctly identifies what your card looked like. If you don't notify Simon of the missing card immediately, you may lose your Federal protection rights and the card could be found and used by someone else.

My simongiftcard expired, I spoke with many many folks(India) to obtain a replacement(they charged me $15). This inquiry was made back on 3/7, and as of 5/19/08, I still do not have my card. They tell you 14 business days, and it never arrives. When you call to obtain a status, no one has the phone number. Can someone, anyone help me find out where my card is, or shall I just assume it's a scam.

Simon Gift Cards can be purchased with either Visa, Discover or American Express logos on the front of the card. The gift card can then be used wherever that logo is accepted, including the internet.

The handling fee is only $2. You can purchase a $3 charity card, and the extra dollar goes to the charity the card supports.

A Simon Gift Card Visa could be a great way to keep track of all purchases made for a remodeling project. This could be a real benefit for tax record purposes.
