Yablonda,

Usually you cannot reload a discounted prepaid gas card. Be sure to check before you buy the card. Also check the fees for reloading. It may be cheaper to just buy a new card.

Thanks for your question.

Can you re-charge the gasoline card after the amount is depleted?

Patrick,

Sounds like a great idea! The fees for purchasing a card vary from company to company. If you purchase the card directly from the oil company, such as the Chevron gift card, you usually don't pay any additional fees. If you purchase the cards from a gift card rack in a grocery store you may be charged slightly more than the card is actually worth.

Since you are purchasing a quantity of cards, I suggest that you contact the oil company through their customer service 800 number to check pricing and availability. The individual customer service phone numbers will be on the website of each oil company.

Thank you for your question and for visiting LoveToKnow Credit Cards.

I am a Manager of contractors for a home warranty company. We do business with residential contractors throuhout the US. As a reward, I want to see what the costs are with getting a few pre-paid gas cards as an incentive to them. (This will help with the high costs of gas for them).
