It depends on the terms of the payment protection. It may be the case that you paid off the card and cancelled the account, but still had not been billed for that month's payment protection. Also, check the paperwork for the payment protection program to make sure you don't have to cancel that program separately. So while it may be true that you owe this money, the important thing is to get to the bottom of this and get it taken care of. Good luck!

hi ihave paid off my credit card and closed my account but im still beening told that i owe money for payment protection.were do i stand as i do not think i owe these payments as the account is closed

It sounds like Citi bank is telling you that they will send your case to court if you don't pay what you owe on your credit card. You should make your request for a final statement in writing. They may not be willing to provide a special statement with a signature.

city bank offer me to settle my dues on cards.i asked number of times to give account statement before settlement and settlement offer letter duly signed by authority but i couldn't get it from bank.he warns me to switch over my case to civil. My question is what is civil?
