Bob, it depends on the terms and conditions of the account. Most credit cards offer a grace period of three-five days, so in that case if the payment was received on Monday it would not result in late charges or interest rate increases. However, not every card features a grace period. My suggestion is that you read the terms and conditions of your card or contact a customer service representative to find out what the actual terms are for payment dates that fall on a Sunday.

To protect your credit score it is always a good idea to pay your bill in time for the payment to be received by the card issuer by the due date. If you need to make an immediate payment, call your card issuer. If you have a checking account, the card issuer can take your payment over the phone. Your phone payment will usually be credited to your account within 24 to 48 hours. Be aware that there may be a special fee for a telephone payment.
Thank you for your question and for visiting LoveToKnow credit cards.
