In many cases, lenders seek assistance from collection agencies because the lender has been unsuccessful with contacting debtors. How do collection agencies work when the debtor is nowhere to be found? Collectors contact the debtor's family, friends and employers and also contact previous lenders to find out if there is any current contact information available.
