Consumers

BP offers gas cards that are for use only at BP as well as cards that can be used in many different locations for a variety of purchases.

• BP Visa: This card is issued through Chase in conjunction with BP. The card can be used for purchases anywhere that Visa is accepted. This card also features a generous rewards program including:
  • 5 percent rebate for any purchases made for gasoline or products at BP stores.
  • 2 percent rebate for purchases included within the category of travel and entertainment purposes as outlined by the terms of the card.
  • 1 percent rebate for any purchases that do not fall into either of the two other categories.

The card features an attractive offer of double rebates during the introductory period of sixty days.

• BP Card: Although this card does not feature a Visa logo, it can still be used to access cash at participating ATMs. The card can be used for purchases at any BP station. This card does not offer as generous a rewards program as the BP Visa Card. A 2 percent rebate is offered for fuel purchases made with the card at participating stations.
• BP MultiCard: Similarly to the BP Card, this card does not feature a Visa logo but can be used at all participating gas stations. This card also features a discount program that gives substantial discounts to cardholders for:
  • Hotel stays
  • Restaurants
  • Select merchants

The discount is only available from participating locations, but the network is relatively large. The BP MultiCard provides the same cash access and rebate system as the BP Card, as well as traveler's assistance and accident insurance.

• BP Prepaid Gas Card: This card is not attached to a revolving line of credit but is instead funded by a balance deposited by the purchaser. The prepaid card can be used to purchase gas at BP stations as well as items within BP convenience stores. Cards can be purchased online or at a participating station.

Businesses

Business owners with fleets of varying sizes can find a suitable BP card program.

• BP Business Solutions MasterCard: This card features a MasterCard logo, allowing cardholders the flexibility to use the cards for fuels purchases anywhere MasterCards are accepted. The Business Solutions MasterCard has a rebate program available for fuel purchases made at BP stations. Other benefits of this card include:
  • Online account access
  • Ability for business owners to set limits on individual cardholder spending
  • Detailed statements
• BP Business Solutions Fuel Card: This card is suitable for business owners who want to grant cardholders the ability to make fuel and maintenance purchases at participating BP stations. Since this card does not feature a MasterCard logo, cardholders cannot use it for purchases elsewhere like they would be able to with the Business Solutions MasterCard. Additional features of this card include:
  • No monthly fee
  • Online access to accounts

Applying for a BP gas card is easy. Online applications are simple to fill out and usually result in a quick credit decision. Applicants can also apply over the phone by calling (800) 539-8521.

Applications for gas cards are also available at participating BP stations. Most stations have applications prominently displayed at both the register counter and the gas pumps.

The interest rate received by approved applicants depends on their credit history and income. The interest rates are comparable to other gas cards available through other gas stations nationwide.
