The Automobile Association of America does not merely offer roadside assistance and maps to members. This organization offers a comprehensive listing of financial services including credit cards and insurance, in addition to the travel services available.

There is an annual fee to maintain membership with AAA, but the AAA Visa credit card does not have any additional annual fee.

AAA Visa Credit Card Rewards Program

The Visa card offered through AAA is issued by Bank of America, so the card features the Bank of America World Points rewards program, an impressive rewards program. Cardholders choose which reward to redeem their points for from a few different options:

• Cash rewards
• Travel rewards
• Merchandise rewards

Cardholders are not assigned to a certain rewards program, so this means that you can choose the method you would like to use to redeem your points. There is no limit to the number of points you can accumulate with the cards reward program. Some transactions – such as gasoline purchases – can yield bonus points in addition to the regular points accumulated from using the card.

The interest rate featured on the AAA Visa credit card is quite competitive with other rewards cards, but not every approved applicant is guaranteed the lowest annual percentage rate (APR). Depending on the applicant’s credit score, he or she may be offered an approval at a higher interest rate, but with the same rewards program intact.

Potential Fees

Just like any other credit cards, there is always a potential for fees even if the balance is paid in full each month. Potential fees that may occur with this credit card include:

Interest charges will not be incurred with this card as long as the balance for purchases is paid in full within the grace period, which is typically 20 twenty days or more.

Keep in mind that if you miss a payment or exceed the available credit balance then there is a good chance that AAA will cancel the promotional interest rate and raise the interest rate for purchases.
